Alisha B Whitman is an enthusiastic painter of color and light. “I believe that art should be uplifting and inspiring because we’re bombarded with so much negativity already. I feel the need to bring hope by highlighting the goodness and beauty that is all around us when we take the time to look.” She finds her inspiration in the beautiful wild spaces she explores with her family and paints en plein air whenever she can, loving the connection she feels with nature when painting on site. A member of The Corvallis Art Guild, the Watercolor Society of Oregon, and the Northwest Watercolor Society, Alisha’s work is also frequently accepted into and receives awards in competitive local and national exhibitions. She shows her work at the Bush Barn Art Center in Salem and with The Nest: an Artist Collective during the Corvallis Art Walk.
